Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) on Wednesday said it will conduct written tests for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Earlier, merit-based admissions were preferred, but written entrance tests were finalised in Tuesday’s Executive Council meeting. The test procedure and other rules and regulations will be finalised and announced on the university website shortly.
The EC meeting also decided that the results of the final semester or final year of several courses will be published as early as possible by the varsity. Due to the COVID-19 situation, students will get the option to submit the university and school fees in two instalments. The students need to deposit the total fee before the admit card is made available.
The university added that EC has approved the proposal and final structure of an Integrated Jamia Library System (IJLS) where all 34 JMI faculties and centres' libraries will be unified.
