Konika and Sandeep are parents to the beautiful 4-year-old girl, Sayantika. She is the light in their life, and used to always be energetic and jovial. No matter what mischief she would commit, she would bring a smile on everyone’s face. But her smile has been stolen away by the deadly disease. She is diagnosed with a cardiac problem which causes her grave inconvenience including breathing problems and black spots on her body.

The doctors have operated once already in the past and placed a pacemaker to improve her heart rhythm but now it seems that it has to be replaced. As of now, she needs a DDDR pacemaker with HIS bundle pacing to help support her heart till she can be old enough to get her transplant done.

“She used to be always active and jumping around, asking people to join her. Even if someone tried to calm her down, she would not listen. Now when she is lying on the bed, silently and in immense pain, it makes cry. I miss her voice echoing in the house, her smile that seems to be lost forever. What has she done to deserve such a fate?....” said Sanjay.

Sayantika’s body is swollen and her gums bleed often. She is in extreme pain. The doctors have suggested that she needs medical assistance for at least 6 months but it is very difficult for the parents to afford it.

The parents are absolutely torn apart seeing their daughter suffer like this but they are helpless. The treatment of Sayantika is costing INR 500000.00 which they cannot afford. The whole family survives on Sandeep’s income who is farm labour. They barely are able to sustain their household, let alone pay for their daughter’s treatment.
