The Higher Secondary Exams were held from April 2 to 26, 2022 in the offline mode and in keeping with all Covid safety measures. An approximate 7.45 lakh students appeared for the exams from their respective home centres (respective schools) after a gap of one year.

The 2020 examinations began before the pandemic but were cancelled midway because of the outbreak. In 2021, the exams were cancelled amid the second wave. Students of both the batches were marked on the basis of their performances in the previous years.

The WBCHSE holds the Class XII board exams in three streams -- Science, Arts and Commerce.
