If you have often wondered what the long standing implications of the covid-19 virus will be, then you need to watch Sweet Tooth, currently streaming on Netflix. The main action of the series takes place 10 years into a post-apocalyptic world, set off by a pandemic alarmingly similar to the one we currently find ourselves in. It follows the story of 11 year old Gus, who after having lived in a forest with his father for all his life, sets out in search of his mother, who he hopes to find at Red Rocks, Colorado.

But why was he leading this secluded life, you ask?
Well in order to answer that, you are going to have to watch the show!

Based on Jeff Lemire’s comic book limited series of the same name, Sweet Tooth interweaves all the elements of a post-apocalyptic world (danger, adventure, etc.) but manages to filter out the general air of negativity that comes with it. Director Jim Mickle infuses the right blend of optimism to the Crumbling world in the show, egging you on to try out ‘just another episode’ until Gus’ journey becomes your own and you find yourself hankering for more as this season draws to a close.
